My name is Wilson Macdonald. I am married and have 3 grown up married children and two younger grandchildren. One of my children currently lives in Australia and lived in New Zealand previously.
I spent all my Civil Service career working in the Ministry of Defence and worked in various establishments throughout the UK as well as working in Germany at HQ BAOR Rheindahlen and was the Secretary of the Berlin Estimates Committee. I have also been the Finance Officer supporting the project team responsible for the procurement from the USA of an anti-tank guided missile system.
My last years in the MoD were spent in Glasgow working in the Defence Scientific Technical Laboratory where I was the information centre manager. For many years my main objectives were on the maintenance of 15 office facilities across the UK, to always ensure adherence to current legislation, covering Health and Safety and Security (Personal, Document and Physical building)
I also have experience of working in the corporate and retail sectors including Sainsburys, Merril Lynch and Chubb Insurance.
